The board is answerable to the board of trustees appointed by the Founder.
Professor Helen Afang Andow is a Professor of Entrepreneurship Management and the Director, Entrepreneurship Research & Development Centre, Kaduna State University. A celebrated educationist, scholar of international repute and an epitome of selfless service. The passion and zeal with which she contributes to the growth and development of Nigerian education sector especially at Kaduna State University, commands respect and accolade. With track record of dedication to duty and patriotism, she is a household name in the entire institution. Born on November 19th 1974 in Mubi, Adamawa State, she attended Yelwa Primary School, Mubi from 1981 to 1986 for her First School Leaving Certificate. For her West African School Certificate, she attended Government Technical Secondary School, Mubi from 1986 to 1992. She obtained her B.Sc. (Business Administration) and Master of Business Administration (Finance) in 1997 and 2001 respectively from University of Maiduguri, Borno State. Endowed with uncommon intelligence, she bagged Ph.D. in Management from Prestigious Military Institution in Africa, Nigeria Defence academy, Kaduna in 2012. She is a Consultant to many organizations in the area of Entrepreneurship, Management and Business Finance. Armed with knowledge to make a difference, her progressive career started at Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna as Assistant Lecturer in March 2006. With diligence and track record of excellent performance she was elevated to Lecturer II in 2008 and Lecturer I in 2012. For greater impact on humanity, she transferred her service to Kaduna State University as Senior Lecturer in February 2014 and became an Associate Professor 2017 and Full Professor in 2020. She had at various times taught the undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Entrepreneurship and Venture Creation; Entrepreneurship Development; Small Scale Business Financing; Public Finance, Principles of Finance; Economic Planning and Development; Management Information System; International Business; Business Policy and Strategy; Global Economic Environment; Research Methodology, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Retirement and Pension Administration, Human Resources Management among others For her academic versatility, she is a certified trainer for Doctoral supervision from Stellenbosch University (African Doctoral Academy) South Africa, A Certified E Learning expert by Louisiana State University USA, External Examiner to various universities, Resource person for MBA Residency Programme SMC University, Board of examiner and supervision NOUN, a Certified Business Development Service Provider (BDSP) and a member to NUC Accreditation team and Resource Verification to many universities. An efficient administrator of men and resources, Professor Helen started making impact on humanity starting from her primary school days as the Head Girl from 1985 to 1986. Other positions she held include: Head Girl, Government Technical Secondary School, Mubi from 1990 to 1992; Financial Secretary, Banking and Finance Students Association, University of Maiduguri from 1996 to 1997 and President, Interact Club International District 9112, Mubi from 1989 to 1992. As an academic prodigy, she has quite over sixty articles published in national and international conference proceedings and chapter contributions. Helen equally has broad knowledge in book review which has seen to her review of: Science Publication and Business Management Journal (2012 to date); Journal of Science and Management Sciences, Kaduna State University (2013 to date); Journal of Economics and International Business Management (2014 to date); African Journal of Business Management (2014 to date), the editorial adviser of Journal of Entrepreneurship, Business and Innovation among others. She has attended several courses nationally and internationally in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Venture Creation, Management, Leadership and Corporate Governance. Professor (Mrs.) Helen is happily married. Her hobbies include fitness walk, badminton, computers and educational expedition.
She has been in lecturing profession from 1995 to date and within the period has taught many courses and supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate projects related to her area of specialization. She has also published several papers in reputable national and international journals, attended various conferences and workshops, belonged to many relevant professional associations and rendered appropriate community services. She has also handled various administrative duties and served in several boards and committees in Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto and Federal University, Gusau. The Dean has reviewed several articles for academic journals and is an external examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of some Universities. She is an active member of many Islamic and community organisations. A notable academic, renowned Professor of Fishery Management and Aquaculture and female entrepreneurship trail blazer, she is one of the pioneers for the establishment of Centre for Entrepreneurial Development, Federal University Gusau and still the Chairperson of the Centre’s advisory committee. She is presently an appointed member for the establishment of Zamfara State University. An erudite scholar and professional par excellence, she is a Member, Science Association of Nigeria;, Member, Zoological Society of Nigeria; Member, Science Teachers’ Association of Nigeria; Member, Fisheries Society of Nigeria; Member, Agricultural Society of Nigeria; Member, Catfish Farmers’ Association of Nigeria and Fellow, Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria among others. Professor Bilkisu, a resourceful and cerebral aquaculture entrepreneur had at various times been Head of Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture; Member, Faculty Board of Science, Member, Faculty Board of Agriculture; Chairman, Faculty of Agriculture Admissions Committee; Dean, Faculty of Science and Member, University Social Ethics Committee, among others at her alma mater - the prestigious Uthman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto. A born teacher, educational administrator and manager of great repute, she is a former Deputy Vice Chancellor and Member, Governing Council, Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State. She is currently a Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Abuja, Nigeria.A woman of great virtues, she is happily married to Professor Abdullahi Shinkafi (the Secretary to the State Government, Zamfara State) with blessed children. Her hobbies are reading and travelling. Hajiya Bilkisu speaks Hausa, English, Arabic and Fulfulde fluently. Oyedunni Sola Arulogun is a committed Professor of Health Promotion and Education with over 15 years of experience at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria the leading Nigerian academic institution teaching students from various social and cultural backgrounds. She holds an adjunct lectureship position at the University of Ibadan Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She possesses excellent administrative, verbal communication and written skills along with constructive and effective teaching methods that promote a stimulating learning environment. Prof. Hauwa’u Evelyn Yusuf holds a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile- Ife Osun State Nigeria with specialty in Criminology and Gender Studies. Hauwa’u is a Professor of Criminology and Gender Studies in the Department of Sociology of the Kaduna State University. She was the pioneer director of the consultancy services arm of the Kaduna State University (KASUCONSULT), was Director Academic Planning of the University, she was the pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Education, Hauwau is the Director Centre for gender studies Kaduna state University. Hauwa’u has 63 National and international journal publications as well as book chapters to her credit. Her areas of research are Criminology, Sociology, Development and Gender issues to this end she is the CEO of the Center for Study and Resolution of Domestic Violence located in Kagoro, Kaduna State Nigeria, which is a product of her internship at various shelters for victims of domestic violence in IOWA United States of America. Hauwa’u is an IVLP Alumni who participated in the Women In Leadership exchange programme in 2008 and has received two grants from the US Embassy (Mitchell Obama’s Small grants 2011) and the Alumni small grants in 2013 for the empowerment of youths and indigent women in Kaduna State. Prof. Yusuf has served as lead consultant for several researches conducted in collaboration with UNICEF, UNWOMEN, WOMEN FOR HEALTH (W4H) and Malaria Consortium. Prof. Yusuf has served as mentor for community women and Civil society organisations in collaboration with dRPC and Christian Aid Hauwau is the team Lead of the Kaduna State Active Squard Against Sexual and Gender based Violence (KASAS). Prof. Maryam Abubakar Koko took up appointment with Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto in 2002 as an auditor and later converted to academic staff in 2004 as an assistant lecturer because of her passion for teaching, research and community service. She is a Women activist and Business Development Service Provider with over 20years’ experience in re sea rc h , c omm u ni t y se r vi ce s , c o n s ul ta n c y, administrative responsibilities and leadership. Prof. Maryam Abubakar Koko is a certified Enterprise Manager, a certified Management Consultant, a fellow of the institute of Management consultant, a fellow of the association of Business Specialist and Entrepreneurs of Nigeria, a student member institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), certified trainer national industrial development organization (UNIDO)/HPLife). Dr Siham El-Kafafi is the founder of Arrows Research Consultancy Limited. Ojutalayo, Shakirat Titilayo is a Ph.D student at the Department of Business and Entrepreneurship, Kwara State University, Malete, Kwara State, obtained her masters degree in Business Administration (Entrepreneurship Option) from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-iwoye, Ogun State. She is currently a Lecturer teaching Entrepreneurship in the General Studies Department of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAH&PT), Ibadan, Oyo State, with a teaching experience spanning over ten years. Aisha Yusuf Ishaku is the CEO/Creative Director of Designtactics Limited and the Proprietor of Design Tactics Academy. She is a Lawyer, Chartered Mediator and Conciliator, Arbitrator and a professional negotiator and mediator. Aisha is also the Company Secretary and Director Legal and General Services at Faton Capital Limited. Aisha is married to Mr Yusufu Ishaku and is a proud mother of four. She is a trained and multiple award winning Interior Designer as well as the Vice president of African Association of Interior Designers. She has a Master degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos; Masters in Diplomacy and Strategic studies University of Lagos, she is an alumna of the prestigious Lagos Business School, where she did an Executive programme (OMP) Owner Manager Programme. She is also an alumna of Entrepreneurship Development centre (EDC), Pan-Atlantic University Lagos where she trained in Entrepreneurial Management. Uzoamaka Gloria Yahaya was born on the 16th of December, 1968. She is a holder of the West African School Certificate, Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics, Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Management, Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Education and Advanced certificate in Computing and Information Technology. Her working career spans a period of over two decades (21 years), covering different spheres of disciplines and specifically in Training, Learning and Development. Mrs.Yahaya, a Deputy Director (DD) of Training; is currently the Areaa Manager, Industrial Training Fund, Enugu Area Office.
She is a Fellow, Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship (FICE), Member, Nigerian Institute for Training and Development(NITAD), Member of Corporate Administration Institute(MCAI),Member of Institute of Management (MNIM) and a Training/Research Consultant to an array of Institutions of Higher learning in Nigeria and Overseas. With outstanding expertise in academic entrepreneurship and women entrepreneurship, her research orientation is multidisciplinary with focus on entrepreneurial economics, entrepreneurial finance, female entrepreneurship, youth entrepreneurship and empowerment, job creation and poverty eradication. She is a Member, Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN); Member, Association of Entrepreneurship Scholars ; Member, Nigerian Economic Society; Member, National Institute of Chartered Economists (NICE) and Fellow of Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria as well as Associate Editor - African Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management (AJENTS). She is an internationally-acclaimed women entrepreneur and Fellow of Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria and International Institute of Female Entrepreneurship (IIFEM).
