GOVERNING COUNCIL

ATIMEnt is governed by a Board which holds the powers of administration except those vested in the General Assembly. The Board has oversight of the long-term strategic direction of ATIME, and is comprised of National Representatives (elected in each country where ATIME has more than ten members), the Executive Committee and a representative of recognised national institutes of entrepreneurship. Engr. Prof. Yusuf Lanre Shuaib-Babata, PhD, PE, was born into the noble family of Olosho Babaita on 17th June, 1969 at Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State by Alhaji Shuaib Olaiya ibn Ibrahim Babata (The Amir Ulaman of Awo-Ekiti) and Mrs Habibah Aduke Olaiya Babata. He had his primary education at Ajitadidun Nursery/Primary School, Ado-Ekiti (1973-1975), N.U.D. (Now A.U.D.) Pry School, Irona, Ado-Ekiti (1975–1980) and lastly at Alore L.S.M.B. School, Ilorin (1980–1981). He also attended Government Secondary School, Alapa – Ilorin (1981–1986) for his secondary education; School of Basic Studies, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin (1987–1989) for Advanced Level programme; University of Ilorin, Ilorin (1990-1996 / 2000-2004) and Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State (2014-2015) for his university education programmes. He obtained a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, B.Eng. Honours (1995/1996 academic session) and Masters of Engineering Degree, M. Eng. (2005) in Mechanical Engineering with bias in Materials/Metallurgical and Production Engineering at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree, PhD (2005) in Mechanical Engineering (Materials & Metallurgy Engineering) at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. He also obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from National Open University of Nigeria / National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna, Nigeria (2015). Dr. Shuaib-Babata attended several trainings, workshops and conferences in the fields of engineering and technology, education, entrepreneurship and management, such as 2nd Training the Trainers Workshop and 1st International Conference on Entrepreneurship Skill organized by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Vocational Studies, and Virtual Institute of Higher Education Pedagogy (NUC). Presently, he is a Faculty Member at professorial cadre (Reader/Associate Professor) at the Department of Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria, where he has served as the Head of Department between August 2018 and August 2020. He is also serving the university at different administrative levels, such as Admission Committee Member (2016 – Date), Dress code and disciplinary committee member (2016 – Date), Chairman/Member Quality Assurance, among others. Earlier, he was a Faculty Member (Assistant Lecturer – Lecturer I) at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Nigeria (1999-2008) and Senior Faculty Member (Lecturer I – Principal Lecturer ) at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria (2008-2016) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering where he had served on different academic and administrative capacities, including some skills Coordinator at the Centre for Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Vocational Studies.

Prof. Shuaib-Babata is a Registered Engineer with the Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and member of several professional bodies, such as Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), International Association of Engineers (MIAENG), Material Science and Technology Society of Nigeria (MMSN), Nigerian Metallurgical Society (MNMS), International Research & Development Institute Research & Development Network, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (MASME), National Society of Black Engineers- America (MNSBE) United kingdom and Nigerian Institution of Engineering Management (MNIEM) as well as Fellow of Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria (ICENT) and Academy of technology innovation management and entrepreneurship (ATIME).He has more than seventy articles published at many academic publication outlets, local, national and international levels. Dr. Yusuf is an active and senior member of Scouts Association of Nigeria. Currently, he is the National Publicity Relation Officer of Material Science and Technology Society of Nigeria (MSN) and the National Treasurer of Nigerian Institution of Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineers, a Division of Nigerian Society of Engineers.

Engr. Assoc. Prof. Salihu Yaru,PhD, MNSE, COREN, FCEnt, FTIME, FCGEP, FCPEL

Engr. Assoc. Prof. Salihu Swanru Yaru is an indigene of Baruten local government area of Kwara State in Kwara North, Dr. Yaru had his first, second and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering. While his Bachelor’s degree was from Federal University of Technology Minna, his advanced degrees were both from the University of Ilorin.

The first Associate Professor of Engineering Entrepreneurship in Nigeria is a member of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Member of Nigerian Society of Engineers. Engr. Yaru taught at the Kwara State Polytechnic and Federal University of Technology Akure, and has dozens of research papers and publications to his name. Associate Professor Yaru was the chairman of Kwara State Polytechnic Governing Board.

He is the Rector, International Vocational Technical and Entrepreneurship College (IVTEC). He is a Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Entrepreneur of great repute. Nigerian first Associate Professor of Engineering Entrepreneurship, Engr. Salihu Yaru is a Fellow of Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship; Fellow and Council Member of Academy of Technology Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (ATIMEnt) and African Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ACSBEnt). .

Odebode Oluwatoyin Oluwaseyi is a seasoned educational instructor, capable of achieving set course objectives and goal-oriented. She holds a Ph.D. in Measurement and Evaluation. A Lecturer at Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Yaba College of Technology Lagos, Nigeria. An Associate Member of International Institute for Policy Review and Development Strategies and a Senior Member of the Global Academy of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GAEIN) and Fellow of Female in Innovation, Small Business and Entrepreneurship (FISBE). She has authored and co-authored a number of both Local and International Journal Publications. Her recent publication is titled; Entrepreneurs Response to the 2020 Pandemic: Impact on Business Activities of SMEs in Lagos State. (2022).

Dr. Lukman Raimi is an Assistant Professor at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam in the Department of Entrepreneurship. Previously, he was the Chair of Entrepreneurship, the Coordinator Graduate Program SBE and Assistant Director Centre for Entrepreneurship at the American University of Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship & CSR from Leicester Business School, De Montfort University Leicester, UK; Bsc in Economics; MSc in Economics, MSc in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management; and a PGDE (Business Education). He is an Entrepreneurship Educator, Activator and Facilitator trained at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Ahmedabad, India under the World Bank-Step B Project. He had undergone a special training in Enterprise Education for Employability at the Pan Atlantic University, Lagos Nigeria under the British Council’s sponsorship. He is an alumnus of Cumberland Lodge, Windsor, United Kingdom having participated in the 2014 Residential Mentoring. He attended the Experiential Classroom XX for Entrepreneurship Educators at the University of Tampa, Tampa, Florida, US. His publications are listed in Scopus, Researchgate and Google Scholar with growing citations. He was honored with the Best PhD Thesis Award for Facultyo of Business and Law, De Montfort University, Leicester UK. His paper titled “Corporate social responsibility, waqf system and zakat system as faith-based model for poverty reduction”, was awarded Highly Commendable Academic Paper by World Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management and Sustainable Development, Emerald Group Publishing Limited, UK. Dr. Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul is the current Rector of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH). He was until his appointment, the Director of Open Distance and Flexible E-Learning(formerly, Flexible Skills Development Centre) of the College. He was also a former Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, in addition to serving as Chairman and member of important and strategic management and academic board committees. Dr. Abdul, a native of Ado-Odo-Otta in Ogun State was born in 1965. He joined the service of Yaba College of Technology in 1993 as Lecturer 2 and rose steadily to become a chief lecturer in 2012.

Engr. Dr. Jenyo Babatunde was born in Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria to Lamidi Opoola Jenyo and Omosolape Atoke Jenyo (Nee Sanusi Adebayo) both of blessed memory from Offa, Kwara State Nigeria. He attended St Mark’s Primary School Offa and Oyun Baptist High School, Ijagbo Kwara State, Nigeria. Jenyo Babatunde holds; Ph.D in Entrepreneurship from Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Master Degrees in Industrial Engineering from University of Ibadan and Business Administration from University of Ilorin, Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Computer Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Minna and National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin. Engr. Dr. M. B. Jenyo also schooled at Kainji Training Centre where he obtained certificate in Electrical System Operation. Engineer M. B. Jenyo served as a COREN resource for the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for a number of years regarding the accreditation of polytechnic engineering programmes. Engr. M. B. Jenyo, a humanitarian, joined the Rotary family as a chartered member of the Rotaract Club of New-Bussa Community Based in 1990–1991 and progressed through the ranks to become President Rotaract Club of Federal University of Technology Minna and District Rotaract Representative (D9130) in the year of "Mankind is My Business" (2001–2002). He presided over Rotary Club of Ilorin-Sunrise, D9125 as its Chartered President in the 2018–19 Rotary year. Dr Siham El-Kafafi is the founder of Arrows Research Consultancy Limited. She is an entrepreneur, educator and businesswoman who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students and clients. She started her company in June 2014 with the aim of sharing her mentoring, training and coaching experience through tailored programs serving her clients and their needs. Siham El-Kafafi has a wide industry and consultancy experience in the medical, manufacturing and service industry besides being an academic for the past 21 years. Her teaching experience plays a leadership role in the creation of high quality student experience in a wide range of business courses. Anthony Friday Ikogwe was born on the 2nd of September, 1967 at Ode Irele in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria. He attended Arerin Grammar School, Ode Irele in Ondo State, Nigeria where he back the West African Secondary Certificate (WASC) in 1985. He went further through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) where he was trained as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic in UTC Technical Training Centre, Wharf Road, Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria. He work as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic with UTC Service Operations, Sapele Road, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He has attended various training in the Automobile field at home and abroad which made him rose to the position of a Workshop Service Engineer with UTC Motors Limited. He went further to London in United Kingdom for further studies with City and Guilds of London Institutes where he was awarded Motor Vehicle Technicians part III and the Full Technological Certificate (FTC) in Automobile Engineering in 1995. He proceeded for the National Youth Service Corps in 1996/97 where he served as a Youth Corper with Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) a Subsidiary of NNPC, 62, Sapele Road, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. .

During his National Youth Service at Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) he was the Technical Officer at the NPDC in-house Motor Vehicle Mechanic Workshop where he used his technical expertise to maintain and repair most of the company vehicle at the in-house Motor Vehicle Mechanic Workshop in 1996/97. Engr. Tony Ikogwe is an Internationally-acclaimed Technology Entrepreneur, Automobile Engineer and Member of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International). A renowned Insurance Engineer, Engineer’s Accessor, Accident Inspector, Loss Adjuster and Service Estimator. A well-versed Automotive Diagnostician, Consultant and Trainer. Edo State, a company that is into Sales and Service of all kind of Vehicles since 1996. He is the CEO Ikogwe International Limited a travel and Tours Company which services includes placement of Students in University and colleges across the globe, Visa Advisory, Airline Ticketing, Hotel Reservation and Booking. He has also traveled far and near to major countries of the world which some major cities in North America, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, West Africa and East Africa. .

Matthew Olugbenga Ilori, a cerebral and award winner Professor of Technology Management of great repute, obtained his B.Sc. Chemistry and M.Sc., Food Science and Technology in 1979 and 1983 respectively from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile Ife, Nigeria. He obtained his Ph.D. in Food Technology from University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
