GOVERNING COUNCIL

ATIME is governed by a Board which holds the powers of administration except those vested in the General Assembly. The Board has oversight of the long-term strategic direction of ATIME, and is comprised of National Representatives (elected in each country where ATIME has more than ten members), the Executive Committee and a representative of recognised national institutes of entrepreneurship. It may also co-opt members for specific mandates.

Matthew Olugbemiga Ilori Ph.D, NIFST, FSM, FCEnt, FTIME

Matthew Olugbenga Ilori, a cerebral and award winner Professor of Technology Management of great repute, obtained his B.Sc. Chemistry and M.Sc., Food Science and Technology in 1979 and 1983 respectively from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile Ife, Nigeria. He obtained his Ph.D. in Food Technology from University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He was a Senior Research Fellow/ acting director of the Technology Planning Unit – a postgraduate unit whicg runs master’s and doctoral level programmes in technology management at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria. Professor Ilori was the director of African Institute for Science Policy and Innovation and currently director of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife. His fields of interest include food processing, brewing science and technology, technology policy, planning and management, industrial technology management, innovation management, science and technology entrepreneurship. Prof. Ilori is a Member: Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology; Fellow of Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria; Fellow, Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management; Fellow, Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria and Fellow, Academy of technology innovation management and entrepreneurship among others.

Agbaje Lateef Ph.D, FCEnt, FCSBE,FCGPE,FTIME

Prof. Lateef read Pure and Applied Biology at first degree (Second Class, Upper Division, 1997), Biotechnology at master level (Distinction, 2001) and obtained PhD in Microbiology (2005) at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He joined the services of LAUTECH as a graduate assistant in 1998 and rose to Professor of Microbiology in 2013. In 2013, he won the maiden prize of the Prof. Oyewale Tomori Young Scientist in Microbiology in Nigeria, which was awarded by the Nigerian Young Academy (NYA), an affiliate of the Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS). Prof. Lateef has vast administrative experiences in the University system. He was Acting Head of Department of Science Laboratory Technology (2012-2014), member of LAUTECH Consultancy Services (2008-2012), University Implementation Committee on Open and Distance Learning (2012-2015); and Management Committee of Central University Research laboratory (2014-2016). He was the first alumnus to Head the Department of Pure and Applied Biology, LAUTECH (2015-2018). At the moment, he is the Director/Chief Scientist, Central Research Laboratory, LAUTECH and has also served as Senate representative on the Governing Council of LAUTECH, Ogbomoso (2018-2021 He has served as external examiner to several Universities in Nigeria, South Africa and India, and as member of NUC accreditation teams to some Universities in Nigeria. He consults for academic bodies in Nigeria, South Africa, Italy, and Ireland. He has been a consultant to Fondazione Cariplo, Italy since 2016 on evaluation of research proposals on Bioeconomy, and also a reviewer for National Research Foundation of South Africa on the rating of scholars. Prof. Lateef is the Head of LAUTECH Nanotechnology Research Group (NANO+) (www.lautechnanotech.com), a multidisciplinary research group that was founded in 2014. He has published widely in Microbiology, Biotechnology and Nanobiotechnology culminating in more than 125 research articles; more than 60 of which are in nanobiotechnology. In early 2021, he rallied scientists from seven countries in four continents of the World to produce the pioneering textbook ‘Microbial Nanobiotechnology: Principles and Applications’ which was published by Springer-Nature Pte Ltd. (Singapore). Prof. Lateef is the Editor-in-Chief of a specialized journal on nanotechnology, Nano Plus: Science and Technology of Nanomaterials (https://stnanojournal.org/), which is indexed in CrossRef; the first of such enterprise in sub-Saharan Africa. His exploits have led to development of products such as bioreactor, neosugar, biocatalysts, nano-textile, nano-paint, nano-pesticides and nano-fertilizers among others which can be scaled up for production at commercial scale. He has supervised more than 200 undergraduate students, and 12 postgraduate candidates. He has publicized Nanotechnology Research through the organization of workshops/conferences by his research group in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 and release of more than 30 news items in several national and international electronic and print media. Prof. Lateef collaborates with a lot of researchers. His network of research extends to India, Egypt, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Sweden. In most recent time, he has received collaborative gestures from researchers in Tunisia and Turkey. Some of his researches have received funding from CSIR (India), TWAS (Italy) and TETFund (Nigeria). His citation count on Google Scholar is in excess of 3600 with h-index of 37. He was listed among the top 2% scholars in the World, being one of the 71 Nigerian scholars that made the list in a joint study by Elsevier BV and Stanford University, USA as published in October, 2020. In June 2021, he was ranked as the 1st scholar in LAUTECH, Ogbomoso and 36th in Nigeria by AD Scientific Index of Turkey. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria (ICENT); Fellow and Council Member, African Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ACSBE) and The Global Academy of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GACEINN).

Raimi Lukman Ph.D., MNIM, FAAE, AMIMC, AIOE FCEnt, FCSBE, FCGPE

Dr. Lukman Raimi is an Assistant Professor at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam in the Department of Entrepreneurship. Previously, he was the Chair of Entrepreneurship, the Coordinator Graduate Program SBE and Assistant Director Centre for Entrepreneurship at the American University of Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship & CSR from Leicester Business School, De Montfort University Leicester, UK; Bsc in Economics; MSc in Economics, MSc in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management; and a PGDE (Business Education). He is an Entrepreneurship Educator, Activator and Facilitator trained at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Ahmedabad, India under the World Bank-Step B Project. He had undergone a special training in Enterprise Education for Employability at the Pan Atlantic University, Lagos Nigeria under the British Council’s sponsorship. He is an alumnus of Cumberland Lodge, Windsor, United Kingdom having participated in the 2014 Residential Mentoring. He attended the Experiential Classroom XX for Entrepreneurship Educators at the University of Tampa, Tampa, Florida, US. He is a member of the following Professional bodies: Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship (ICENT), Fellow - 2015; Institute of Management Consultants, Fellow, 2019; The Academy of Management Nigeria, Member, 2018; Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals of Nigeria, Fellow, 2017; African Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ACSBE), Fellow – 2021; and The Global Academy of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GACEINN) Fellow – 2021. Dr. Lukman has over 35 published articles, and had delivered conferences/seminar papers in Turkey, Malaysia, Ghana, Togo, India, Belfast, Leicester, US. His publications are listed in Scopus, Researchgate and Google Scholar with growing citations. He was honored with the Best PhD Thesis Award for Facultyo of Business and Law, De Montfort University, Leicester UK. His paper titled “Corporate social responsibility, waqf system and zakat system as faith-based model for poverty reduction”, was awarded Highly Commendable Academic Paper by World Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management and Sustainable Development, Emerald Group Publishing Limited, UK. His collaborative research in CSR was awarded Highly Commended Paper at the International Conference on Business and Economics (ICBE2018), Seoul, South Korea, June 25-27, 2018. His ongoing research focuses on Medical Entrepreneurship, Family Business, Community Entrepreneurship and Informal Entrepreneurship.

Isaac Oluwajoba Abereijo is a highly articulate Professor of Technology Management with Institute for Entrepreneurship and Development Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria. He was a consultant, trainer, and researcher with Centre for Industrial Industrial Research and Development (CIRD) of of the same institution. Abereijo is an experienced and entrepreneurship and small business consultant of international repute who has attended seminar, trainings and workshops on innovation, entrepreneurship and small business development both within and outside Nigeria. He has published several academic papers in local academic journals in Nigeria, within Africa, and also in USA, South America, and Asia; in the areas of small business finance, ICT in SMEs, and technological innovation in SMEs.His research interest is in Technological entrepreneurship and innovation. Dr Siham El-Kafafi is the founder of Arrows Research Consultancy Limited. She is an entrepreneur, educator and businesswoman who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students and clients. She started her company in June 2014 with the aim of sharing her mentoring, training and coaching experience through tailored programs serving her clients and their needs. Siham El-Kafafi has a wide industry and consultancy experience in the medical, manufacturing and service industry besides being an academic for the past 21 years. Her teaching experience plays a leadership role in the creation of high quality student experience in a wide range of business courses. Siham is running her own business Arrows Research Consultancy Limited, providing consultancy work for both corporate organisations and educational institutions since June 2014. Siham holds a PhD from The University of Waikato, New Zealand, a Masters in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education from Auckland University of Technology, a Masters of Public Administration from the American University in Cairo and Bachelors of Art in English Literature with Honors from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Siham has over 100 publications in journal articles, book chapters and conference proceedings besides being on the editorial boards for various national and international journals, on board of examiners and award committees. . Engr. Dr. Yusuf Lanre Shuaib-Babata, PhD, PE, was born into the noble family of Olosho Babaita on 17th June, 1969 at Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State by Alhaji Shuaib Olaiya ibn Ibrahim Babata (The Amir Ulaman of Awo-Ekiti) and Mrs Habibah Aduke Olaiya Babata. He had his primary education at Ajitadidun Nursery/Primary School, Ado-Ekiti (1973-1975), N.U.D. (Now A.U.D.) Pry School, Irona, Ado-Ekiti (1975–1980) and lastly at Alore L.S.M.B. School, Ilorin (1980–1981). He also attended Government Secondary School, Alapa – Ilorin (1981–1986) for his secondary education; School of Basic Studies, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin (1987–1989) for Advanced Level programme; University of Ilorin, Ilorin (1990-1996 / 2000-2004) and Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State (2014-2015) for his university education programmes. . He obtained a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, B.Eng. Honours (1995/1996 academic session) and Masters of Engineering Degree, M. Eng. (2005) in Mechanical Engineering with bias in Materials/Metallurgical and Production Engineering at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree, PhD (2005) in Mechanical Engineering (Materials & Metallurgy Engineering) at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. He also obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from National Open University of Nigeria / National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna, Nigeria (2015). Dr. Shuaib-Babata attended several trainings, workshops and conferences in the fields of engineering and technology, education, entrepreneurship and management, such as 2nd Training the Trainers Workshop and 1st International Conference on Entrepreneurship Skill organized by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Vocational Studies, and Virtual Institute of Higher Education Pedagogy (NUC). Presently, he is a Faculty Member at professorial cadre (Reader/Associate Professor) at the Department of Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria, where he has served as the Head of Department between August 2018 and August 2020. He is also serving the university at different administrative levels, such as Admission Committee Member (2016 – Date), Dress code and disciplinary committee member (2016 – Date), Chairman/Member Quality Assurance, among others. Earlier, he was a Faculty Member (Assistant Lecturer – Lecturer I) at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Nigeria (1999-2008) and Senior Faculty Member (Lecturer I – Principal Lecturer ) at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria (2008-2016) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering where he had served on different academic and administrative capacities, including some skills Coordinator at the Centre for Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Vocational Studies. Dr. Shuaib-Babata is a Registered Engineer with the Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and member of several professional bodies, such as Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), International Association of Engineers (MIAENG), Material Science and Technology Society of Nigeria (MMSN), Nigerian Metallurgical Society (MNMS), International Research & Development Institute Research & Development Network, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (MASME), National Society of Black Engineers- America (MNSBE) United kingdom and Nigerian Institution of Engineering Management (MNIEM) as well as Fellow of Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria (ICENT) and Academy of technology innovation management and entrepreneurship (ATIME).He has more than seventy articles published at many academic publication outlets, local, national and international levels. Dr. Yusuf is an active and senior member of Scouts Association of Nigeria. Prof. Yekeen Kolawole Sanusi, PhD, MSESN, MMSN, FCEnt, FTIME, FCSBE

Prof. Yekeen Kolawole Sanusi was born in Nigeria in 1974. He obtained BSc and MSc in Physics from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin Kwara State, Nigeria in 1997 and 2004 respectively. He obtained the PhD degree in Solid State Physics (Energy Option) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso Oyo State, Nigeria in 2009.He joined the Department of Pure and Applied Physics, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso Oyo State, Nigeria in 2004 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose to position of Reader in October, 2013. His area of research interests include; Modelling and Parametric study of Photovoltaic modules with some physical factors for optimal performance in a tropical area; Renewable Energy source and materials; and Fabrication of Dye sensitized solar cells with a focus on improving efficiency of dye sensitized solar cells using nanoparticles. He has published more than thirty (30) scientific papers in reputable local and international Journals. He serves on the Editorial Board of some academic journals. Prof. Sanusi is a member of Nigerian Institute of Physics (MNIP), Solar Energy Society of Nigeria (MSESN) and Materials Society of Nigeria (MMSN) and Fellow, Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria (ICENT). He is an active Consultant for SOLARVAT Nigeria Limited. Professor Sanusi is a Fellow and Council Member of Academy of Technology Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (ATIME) and African Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship

Cherif Dridi, PhD, FTIME, FCSBE, FCGPE

Chérif Dridi is a full Professor/principal investigator in the Center of Research on Microelectronics and Nanotechnology CRMN Technopark of Sousse and co-founder of the GREENS Team in ISSAT of Sousse, University of Sousse. He received his MSc degree in general physics and his DEA (master) in materials and devices for electronics from the faculty of Sciences of Monastir in 1994/1996 and his PhD degree in Physics : "Relationship between structural and electronic properties in conjugated polymers" from Faculty of sciences of Tunis in 2003. In this period he conducted several works in Polymer and Biomaterials Laboratory (Lyon, France), Quantum Physics Laboratory (ESPCI, Paris France) and Institut Charles Sadron (Strasbourg, France). He received a HDR: "Nanomaterials for Environment and Solar Energy Harvesting" in physics from faculty of sciences of Tunis in 2010. His research activity concerned in the last years the study of structural, optical and electrical properties of new organic and hybrid nanomaterials from which devices for solar energy conversion, environment monitoring and health diagnostic has been developed particularly chemical sensors, biosensors and solar cells. Moreover, he is recently interested by study of Microsystems for diseases monitoring. He was a principal investigator in 5 international projects funded by NATO (“Development of Bio/Chemical Sensors for Detection of Amines and Aldehydes in Fish Meat”), Tunisian-French cooperation PHC Utique CMCU (i) “Nanomaterials for energy conversion and environment”, (ii) “Design, simulation and fabrication of embedded implantable Microsystems: Application for Health”, and Tunisian-Algerian “Metallic Oxydes and Application for Photovoltaïcs”. He is an expert researcher in 2 projects funded by NATO SFP “Novel Electrochemical Nano-Sensors for Toxic Ions Detection” and FP7 European commission CANCERNANOSENS. He has published/presented over 80 papers/communications in the above mentioned scientific research area. Professor Dridi is a Fellow and Council Member of Academy of Technology Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (ATIME); African Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ACSBE) and The Global Academy of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GACEINN).

A renowned Doctor of Technopreneurship, he is an academic entrepreneur, corporate entrepreneur and eloquent public speaker par excellence. Muhammad Mansur is an internationally-acclaimed entrepreneurship mentor, consultant, master trainer of trainers and, Acting Director of Entrepreneurship- Airforce Institute of Technology, Kaduna, Nigeria. An Oracle Certified Associate Database Administrator 11g and Information Technology wizard of international repute; he holds triple Master’s degrees (including M.Phil in Entrepreneurship) and Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship (Technopreneurship Option) from the famous Kampala International University, Uganda. With outstanding expertise in technology entrepreneurship, corporate entrepreneurship, strategic entrepreneurship, edupreneurship, his research orientation is multidisciplinary with focus on technology entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, youth entrepreneurship and empowerment, job creation and poverty eradication with emphasis on academic entrepreneurship, corporate entrepreneurship and strategic entrepreneurship. Happiness Oselebe Ph.D., MINORMS, MWARIMA, MASA, MCSSA, MBSN, MGSN, FCEnt., FTIME

Prof. Happiness Oselebe is a multiple academic award winner and internationally acclaimed Professor of Plant Breeding and Genetics in the Department of Crop Production & Landscape Management, Faculty of Agriculture & Natural Resources Management, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.She is the current Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.An academic entrepreneur, agropreneur and female entrepreneur par excellence, she is a rare-breed teacher, researcher and mentor. . Prof Happiness Oselebe graduated from University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1993 for her B.Sc degree with First Class honors. She received her MSc. degree in 1998 and PhD degree in 2003, also with honors from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Her PhD thesis was adjudged the best for the session, hence she received the Faculty Postgraduate prize, as well as Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate prize as the best graduating doctoral (PhD) student in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2003/2004 session. . Happiness currently teaches and supervises B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD students. Her research interest is in the development of improved crop varieties that are economically efficient and sustainable, both in quality and yield, especially under limiting environments. She is also exploring the development of drought tolerant rice varieties for water stressed environments; the generation of rice hybrids with resistance/tolerance to African Rice Gall Midge, as well as purifying identified farmers’ landrace genotype prior to release as new variety. She also focuses on the sustainable use of African neglected and underutilized species (NUS), also known as orphan crops such as fruits, vegetables and medicinal plants. She specifically explores the improvement and generation of new varieties of the orphan crops to enhance food security and income in African communities. She is the present Dean, Faculty of Agriculture & Natural Resources Management, Ebonyi State university Abakaliki-Nigeria. Happiness attracted several research grants to her university. She is collaborating with International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) on a funded breeding project for increased yam productivity and quality in West Africa’. From 2016 to 2020 she is co-coordinator of the European Union funded program on ‘’Enhancing training and research mobility for novel crops breeding in Africa’’ referred to as ‘’MoBreed’’. From 2017 to 2021 she is also the African Coordinator of another European Union project on ‘’Mobility for plant genomics scholars to accelerate climate-smart adaptation options and food security in Africa’’ referred to as ‘’GENES’’. These two grants from the Intra-Africa Mobility Scheme of the European Union helps train young Nigerians and Africans to become high profile Plant Breeders and Genomic Scholars working on African orphan crops and food security crops at the Masters and PhD level. She is a gender grantee of the Association of Commonwealth Universities in 2017 and had attracted a special TETFund equipment grant worth fifty million naira only, to her university for upgrading of the University’s Biotechnology Laboratory. Happiness is a 2009 Fellow of Norman E. Dr. Tolutope Olubamiji Fakokunde, an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Business Management, was born more than fifty years ago in Ibadan. His late father hails from Erin-Oke-Ijesa while his mother is from Erin-Osun, both in Osun State. He is the second of five children of his parents who were both seasoned teachers. He first attended C.A.C. Primary School, Eleta, Ibadan and later Wesley College Practising School, Elekuro, Ibadan, where in 1979 at Primary 5, he was privileged to gain admission into the elitist Lagelu Grammar School Ibadan for his secondary education which he completed in 1984 in flying colours. In respect of his higher education, he attended Oyo State College of Arts and Sciences, Ile-Ife between 1984 and 1986, before proceeding to the University of Lagos where he bagged a B.Sc. (Hons) in Business Administration in 1992. He also attended the Federal University of Technology, Akure, where he bagged his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 1999, and the University of Ilorin for his M.Sc. Management and Ph.D. Business Administration degrees in 2003 and 2011 respectively. He is an academic of repute of almost three decades experience in various institutions across the country, among which are the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke; University of Ado-Ekiti, now Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria; Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria and presently in the Department of Entrepreneurship, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. Professor Helen Afang Andow is a Professor of Entrepreneurship Management and the Director, Entrepreneurship Research & Development Centre, Kaduna State University. A celebrated educationist, scholar of international repute and an epitome of selfless service. The passion and zeal with which she contributes to the growth and development of Nigerian education sector especially at Kaduna State University, commands respect and accolade. With track record of dedication to duty and patriotism, she is a household name in the entire institution. Born on November 19th 1974 in Mubi, Adamawa State, she attended Yelwa Primary School, Mubi from 1981 to 1986 for her First School Leaving Certificate. For her West African School Certificate, she attended Government Technical Secondary School, Mubi from 1986 to 1992. She obtained her B.Sc. (Business Administration) and Master of Business Administration (Finance) in 1997 and 2001 respectively from University of Maiduguri, Borno State. Endowed with uncommon intelligence, she bagged Ph.D. in Management from Prestigious Military Institution in Africa, Nigeria Defence academy, Kaduna in 2012. Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo is a Professor par excellence, a Distinguished Economist, an Astute Vice-Chancellor, an accomplished Banker, a Pastor, a loving Husband and Father. Professor Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo was born on the 30th of April 1970 at Toru-Angiama in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State into the humble family of Mr and Mrs Edoumiekumo Bileke. He started his search for the Golden Fleece in 1982 at Akedenowei Primary school, Toru Angiama and proceeded to Toru-Angiama Secondary School where he excelled however he relocated to Lagos State where he completed his secondary education at Ajeromi Ifelodun High School, Apapa obtaining the West African Certificate (WASC) in 1988. Young Samuel Gowon’s understanding of the importance of education and hunger for more knowledge propelled him to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1995 and a Master of Science Degree in Economics from the prestigious University of Port Harcourt in 2001. He holds two Doctorate Degrees in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the University of Port Harcourt. His pursuit of education transverses the four regions of the country. One does not become an academic general in the Ivory Tower without conscious efforts and handwork. Several factors interweave to make this possible. These factors include determination, sound morals, strength, fidelity, reliability, accountability, cerebral profundity, expertise and the fear and love of God. Between 2002 and 2014, Samuel Edoumiekumo progressed through the rank and file of the institution from the position of Assistant Lecturer, to a Professor of Economics at The Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island Bayelsa State. From 2011 to 2016, he served in various Boards within and outside the university such as the Center for Education Services, Basic and Pre-Degree Programmes, Directorate of Consultancy, Entrepreneurship Research and Development and Linkage Assurance Plc. . Professor Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo has served in various administrative capacities. He was the Acting Head of Department of Economics, Deputy Director, Entrepreneurship and Training, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Chairman of Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee, Vendors Monitoring Committee, Niger Delta University Housing Committee, Member, Niger Delta University Governing Council, Senate Business Committee, Assessment and Graduation Requirements Committee, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration and in May 2017 he was appointed the acting Vice-Chancellor of the Niger Delta University and later became substantive Vice-Chancellor in May 2018. Good leaders have vision and inspire others to help them turn their vision into reality while great leaders have vision, share vision, and inspire others to create their own and when the vision is clear, the results will appear. Professor Edoumiekumo has always tried not to just be a man of success but be a man of value. Upon assumption of office as Vice-Chancellor of the Niger Delta University, he transformed the landscape of the university with several achievements to his credit including one hundred percent full accreditation status of all programmes presented in the 2018 NUC/Professional Accreditation Exercise, steady power and and water supply on campus, introduction of online fees payment, course registration and result platforms, Infrastructural Development with world class structures and state of the art facilities, Improved internet connectivity, Introduction of CCTV and other devices to aid security on campus and an increase in student intake. Due to his Entrepreneurial drive, he established a fleet of businesses spanning from potable bottled and satchet water, detergent, disinfectant, bread, confectionaries, paint and other products to the university's own radio station, NDU Radio 98.1Wilberfoce Island FM which is fast growing to its reputation as the Pride of the Region. Also under his watch, there has been an unprecedented increase in the internally generated revenue (IGR) base of the University. Prof. Edoumiekumo belongs to numerous professional bodies. He is a Fellow of the Historians of Education Development Society of Nigeria (HOEDSON), Fellow, Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (FIEN), Fellow, Chartered Forensic Investigation Professional (FCFIP), Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Management, Member, Nigerian Economic Society and Fellow of Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship, Nigeria. A gold fish has no hiding place and Prof. Edoumiekumo is certainly a gold fish who has earned several academic and professional awards as result of his ingenuity and innovations. In 2017 he was awarded the Distinguished Economist Award alongside Mr. Godwin Emefiele, Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Professor Edoumiekumo presented the 17th Inaugural Lecture in 2015 titled GOD, MAN AND THE WORLD: THE NIGERIAN TRIPODIC ‘EXCHANGEOLOGICAL’ DILEMMA at the Niger Delta University. Professor Edoumiekumo has taught several courses as lecturer in the University and they include Principles of Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Managerial Economics, Business Mathematics/Mathematical economics, Econometrics, Business Statistics, Operations Research, Business Decision Analysis and Financial Institutions and Markets and have supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate students.
